The J-type rock wool thermal insulation and decorative integrated board integrates the insulation layer and the decorative layer. Its preservation quality directly determines the subsequent construction effect and service life. The following are the key points for systematic preservation:

1. Storage environment: Dry and ventilated is the iron rule

Integrated panels should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated indoor warehouse, and stacking in the open is strictly prohibited. If it is necessary to temporarily store outdoors, a rainproof shed must be built and completely covered with a tarpaulin. At the same time, ensure that the ground is dry, flat, and free of water. The relative humidity of the environment should be controlled below 80% - rock wool is a porous material. Once it absorbs moisture, the thermal conductivity will rise significantly, the thermal insulation performance will drop sharply, and in severe cases, it may even become moldy and scrapped.

2. Moisture-proof and waterproof: core management and control links

The floor must be paved with moisture-proof materials, such as plastic film or moisture-proof boards, and the boards must not be in direct contact with the ground. The boards should be raised by more than 30cm using wooden squares or bricks and stacked on brackets or a platform higher than the ground. The entire transportation and storage process must be covered with tarpaulin or plastic film to prevent rain and dust erosion. Especially in humid weather such as the rainy season and typhoon season, inspections need to be carried out more frequently, and if water accumulation or moisture returns is found, it should be dealt with immediately.

3. Stacking method: Flat laying is king, and the height must be measured

Integrated boards must be stacked flat and are strictly prohibited from being scattered and placed upright to avoid pressure deformation of the underlying boards. Different specifications and models should be classified and stacked neatly to avoid mutual extrusion. The height of each stack should not exceed 800mm. If double-layer shelf stacking is required, the total height should not exceed 1600mm. It is recommended that the number of stacking layers be controlled at 9 to 10 layers.

4. Fire safety: The packaging is flammable, so don’t be careless.

Although the rock wool board itself is a Class A non-combustible material, its outer packaging is mostly PE plastic film, which is flammable. Therefore, the storage area must be far away from fire sources and is strictly prohibited from being adjacent to heat sources such as welding and cutting equipment. Inflammable and explosive materials, acids and alkalis and other corrosive substances must not be stored in the warehouse, and sufficient fire extinguishing equipment must be provided.

5. Handling operations: handle with care and avoid rough operations

Two people should cooperate when carrying. They should lift the board flat and hold the long side of the board with both hands. They should carry 1 to 2 pieces at a time to avoid excessive bending. It is strictly prohibited to throw it from a high place, drag it with ropes or hooks, collide with the corners of the board, and do not step on the board. The bottom of the transport vehicle must be flat, the product must be firmly fixed, and vibration must be minimized during the journey.

6. Temperature control and sunshade: Sun protection and anti-freeze protection

Avoid direct sunlight and high temperature exposure. Ultraviolet rays and high temperatures will accelerate the aging of the decorative surface and the degradation of the sealant. During winter storage, windows should be opened to dispel moisture in sunny weather. In snowy weather, doors and windows must be closed to prevent moisture intrusion. When used in low-temperature environments, special attention must be paid to the problem of condensation water inside the insulation layer to prevent moisture penetration from causing panel failure.

7. Regular inspections: nip problems in the bud

During storage, the status of the boards should be checked regularly, focusing on whether there is moisture, deformation, damage, packaging rupture, etc. Before construction, the moisture content of the board must be tested to ensure that it meets the specifications. Once a damp board is found, it should be dried or replaced directly. It is strictly prohibited to use damp boards for construction.

Only by following the above seven key points can we ensure that the performance and quality of the J-shaped rock wool insulation and decorative integrated board will not deteriorate during storage, laying a solid foundation for subsequent installation.
