The maintenance cycle of polyurethane rigid foam insulation composite panels needs to be comprehensively judged based on the usage scenario and condition. Under normal circumstances, basic inspection and maintenance should be carried out every 1-3 years. In extreme environments or high-load scenarios, it needs to be shortened to once every 6 months. The details are as follows:

1. Maintenance cycle for normal usage scenarios

Basic inspection and maintenance

Period: Conduct a comprehensive inspection every 1-3 years, focusing on checking whether the surface of the board is cracked and deformed, whether the sealant at the joints has aged and fallen off, and whether the fasteners are loose.

Operation: Use professional tools to detect the thickness and density uniformity of the board to confirm that there is no physical damage or chemical reaction residue (such as components that were not fully cured during the production process).

Basis: Polyurethane rigid foam insulation board has stable physical properties under normal use conditions (temperature -30°C ~ 90°C, moderate humidity), but long-term environmental effects may cause the material to slowly age.

Cleaning and anti-fouling

Period: Clean the surface dust every 6 months to avoid long-term adhesion of pollutants (such as acid rain, oil stains) and cause corrosion.

Operation: Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to remove dust on the surface. Do not use sharp tools to scratch. If it is contaminated with oil, wipe it with a neutral detergent and then dry it.

2. Maintenance cycles in extreme environments or high-load scenarios

High temperature/high humidity environment

Period: Check the panel joints and fasteners every 6 months to confirm that the sealant is not cracked and the fasteners are not rusted.

Basis: Long-term high temperature (such as close to 90°C) or high humidity (such as coastal areas) will accelerate material aging and lead to a decrease in sealing performance.

Mechanical shock or vibration scenarios

Period: Check every 3 months to see if there are dents or cracks on the surface of the board, and whether the fasteners are loose.

Operation: Perform local repairs on damaged parts, such as refilling sealants and reinforcing fixings.

3. Maintenance content and operation points

Surface inspection

Observe whether the color of the board is uniform and whether there is yellowing or powdering (signs of ultraviolet aging).

Check whether the sealant at the seams is intact and whether it has cracked or fallen off.

Fixture inspection

Check whether expansion bolts, anchors and other fasteners are loose or corroded, and replace them if necessary.

Check the bonding strength between the board and the base wall. If there is a hollow, it needs to be re-pasted.

Performance testing

Use a thermal imager to detect the temperature distribution on the surface of the plate to confirm that there is no local overheating or cold bridge.

The thermal conductivity of the board was randomly tested to confirm that the thermal insulation performance did not decrease significantly.

4. Suggestions for extending service life

Avoid direct UV rays

Apply anti-UV paint to the surface of the board, or cover it with protective facilities such as awnings.

Reduce mechanical damage

It is prohibited to nail, drill or hang heavy objects on the surface of the board. If equipment needs to be installed, special brackets should be used and sealed.

Control ambient humidity

In humid environments, such as basements, add ventilation or wrap the panels with a moisture-resistant membrane.
