Construction method of Q-type rock wool insulation and decorative integrated board

1. Construction preparation

Technical briefing: Before construction, the designer and construction team need to conduct a detailed technical briefing to clarify the structure and construction requirements of the integrated panel.

Material confirmation: Confirm the model, specification and quantity of the integrated board, as well as the variety and quantity of auxiliary materials such as adhesives, sealants, anchors and so on.

Grassroots processing:

Clean the surface of the wall to remove oil stains, floating dust and loose layers to ensure that the surface is smooth, dry and free of open water.

The plastering layer needs to meet the intermediate plastering standard, and the yin and yang angles should be vertical.

For uneven areas, use interface agent for pretreatment to improve the bonding effect.

Tool preparation: Prepare construction tools such as level, tape measure, cutter, electric drill, trowel, scraper, spray gun, hanging basket or scaffolding.

Safety preparation: Wear safety helmets, gloves, goggles and other protective equipment to ensure construction safety.

2. Measuring, laying out and springing line divisions

Measurement and laying out: According to the building facade design and thermal insulation technical requirements, horizontal and vertical control lines, as well as expansion joints, decorative stitches, etc. are popped up on the wall.

Spring line division: According to the design requirements, use ink lines to pop up the vertical and horizontal reference lines and division positioning lines on the wall. Ensure the principles of economy, beauty, and safety, and plan the layout of the panels reasonably.

3. Plate processing and cutting

Cutting the integrated board: Cut the length and width of the integrated board according to the wall size to ensure accurate dimensions. When cutting, the required length should be cut strictly according to the length direction of the integrated board, and the required width should be cut according to the width direction of the integrated board.

Processing of anchors: According to the design requirements, process the anchors on the back of the integrated board to ensure that the number and position of the anchors meet the specification requirements.

Edging or grooving: Edging or grooving based on panel thickness. When the panel thickness is 6~8mm, it is suitable for edging around the surface of the panel; when the panel thickness is greater than 8mm, it is suitable for grooving on the cross-section of the panel.

4. Installation and construction

Paste the integrated board:

Apply adhesive on the wall, and stick the integrated board on the wall using the point-sticking method or the strip-sticking method. The ratio of the adhesive area of each board to the board area shall not be less than 50%.

When pasting, first apply adhesive evenly on the wall and the back of the rock wool integrated board, and then press firmly to ensure a firm and smooth bond.

During the pasting process, pay attention to keeping the gap between the boards even, generally 2~3mm.

The rock wool thermal insulation decorative integrated board should be pasted from bottom to top in the horizontal direction starting from the foot area. If necessary, a full-length supporting board can be added to the bottom edge of the bottom row of boards.

Install the anchor:

After the integrated board is pasted, use an electric drill to drill holes in the board and install the anchors. The location and number of anchors should meet the design requirements. Generally, an anchor is installed every 500mm.

The anchors should go deep into the wall, and the effective anchoring depth should not be less than 30mm (concrete base) or 50mm (masonry wall base).

When installing, make sure the anchors are firmly fixed to the wall and are not loose.

Caulking treatment:

Use caulk to fill the gaps between the panels. The caulking agent should have good bonding properties and waterproof properties.

When filling, pay attention to keeping the gaps full and flat, without hollows, cracks, etc.

Glue seal:

After the caulking process is completed, use weather-resistant sealing silicone to seal the board seams.

Before gluing, clean up the flash, burrs and spilled adhesive on both sides of the board seams.

When applying glue, make sure the glue seam is full and even, without bubbles, cracks, etc.

After squeezing the silicone sealant, the glue seams should be trimmed and smoothed immediately in one direction. Do not move back and forth to avoid air being trapped and forming bubbles.

5. Quality acceptance

Check the flatness: Use a 2-meter ruler to check the flatness of the integrated board, and the error shall not exceed 3 mm.

Check the anchors: Check whether the number and position of the anchors meet the design requirements to ensure that the installation is firm and reliable.

Check the sealant: Check whether the sealant is full, even, and free of bubbles, cracks, etc.

Overall acceptance: Conduct an overall acceptance of the completed wall surface to ensure that it meets the design requirements and relevant specifications and standards.

6. Precautions

Construction temperature: The ambient temperature during construction should not be lower than 5°C, and the wind force should not be greater than level 5.

Moisture-proof treatment: In humid environments, moisture-proof agent should be applied to the base layer.

Protection of finished products: During the construction process, attention should be paid to protecting the installed integrated panels to avoid collisions and scratches.

Safety measures: Pay attention to safety during construction and wear protective equipment such as safety helmets and gloves.
