Aiming at the current situation that the leakage quality of masonry walls is common and cannot be detected and predicted in advance, Mr. Fu’s research group has developed a non-destructive, portable and on-site testing equipment for wall impermeability that can simulate rainfall processes through years of research, and has formulated a testing and evaluation standard promulgated by the China Engineering Construction Standardization Society (CECS).
The application of this technology can break the passive situation in China where there are no standards to follow in this direction, effectively avoid the problem of additional maintenance and time costs when subsequent wall leakage occurs, and can provide an identification basis for disputes and disputes caused by wall leakage.
The water spray method has been widely used for on-site testing of the tightness of curtain walls and other enclosure components, and can be used for on-site testing of wall impermeability.
Currently, the country is promoting industry group standards, and standards for the use of many new wall materials have been introduced one after another. A standard for on-site testing and evaluation of the impermeability performance of masonry walls can be formulated to guide engineering practice.
